/news/articles/2008/04/26/batch-four-source-code-released en-us 40 Recent developments <h1>Wakefield, 26th April 2008</h1> <p>One year on from the first shared source code release, Castle Technology Ltd (Castle) and <span class="caps">RISC OS</span> Open Ltd (ROOL) were pleased to release Batch Four of the <span class="caps">RISC OS</span> source code on CD at the Wakefield <span class="caps">RISC OS</span> show. Batch 4 includes long-awaited low level components such as the <span class="caps">RISC OS</span> kernel, hardware abstraction layer and the Shared C Library.
