Beeb@30

Posted by Steve Revill Tue, 20 Mar 2012 20:43:00 GMT

RISC OS Open are happy to be attending the Beeb@30 celebrations at the ARM offices in Cambridge this Sunday 25th March.

This event will include guests such as key members of the Acorn Computers team who created the original BBC Micro, Chris Serle (the presented of the BBC’s “The Computer Programme”) and Eben Upton from the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

Steve Revill and Ben Avison, both formerly employees of Acorn Computers, will be going along to join the celebrations, meet some old friends and spread the message about RISC OS Open. :)

Tickets are still available here (for a limited time only).

Do you sell software for RISC OS?

Posted by Steve Revill Sun, 18 Mar 2012 17:18:00 GMT

If so, ROOL are very keen to speak with you about an idea that we feel could bring you more customers and bring more users and developers into the RISC OS scene.

If your software is free, then don’t worry – ROOL are planning on speaking to active developers of free RISC OS software over the coming weeks, too!

Commercial developers, please get in touch with ROOL by sending an email to oem@riscosopen.org including the following information:

  • Subject: ENQUIRY
  • The name of your business
  • Your website URL
  • A list of your commercial RISC OS software (and very briefly what it is)

RISC OS Open on Facebook

Posted by Steve Revill Sun, 04 Mar 2012 22:28:00 GMT

RISC OS Open has (belatedly!) created a Facebook page for our company. We’ll occasionally put the odd message on there for those of you who are part of the social networking thing… :)

For the time being, I might pop a few things on the timeline there to fill out a bit of the history of how ROOL has developed over the years.

Enjoy!
